Spring break weeks at both houses are opening up.

Every school in the country empties out at roughly the same time — the March break stretch fills fastest. If you know your dates, this is a good moment to check.

Easy Breezy for the whole crew (18 bedrooms, sleeps 44, two heated pools, and yes, you can take just one side). Lemonshello if you're closer to twenty and want fewer people to keep track of (8 bedrooms, private bath on every one).

90 days to Christmas.

The pattern is always the same: families start comparing calendars at the end-of-summer cookouts, one uncle "checks something," and by mid-October the good Christmas weeks are quietly gone.

Easy Breezy — 18 bedrooms, 18 baths, sleeps 44. Two heated private pools. Both sides splittable if your group is closer to twenty. Both sides, the in-laws, the college kids and their roommates who don't really have plans. Everyone gets a real bed. The group photo happens on the beach instead of the driveway.

Christmas week is still open. It usually isn't for long.

October at Lemonshello has its own weather.

Afternoons in the high 70s. Water still holding onto July. Beach quiet enough to hear the waves without a bluetooth speaker three towels down. And by 8pm the hot tub earns its keep.

Eight bedrooms — every one with its own bath. Heated pool, hot tub, fire pit down on the sand. Elevator. The classic size: grandparents through grandkids, and nobody sleeping on a couch.
