Come along on a journey with me.

Picture if you will yourself strolling down the street on a gorgeous summers evening. It’s golden hour, the thick smell of jasmine clings to the air like a long lost lover still circling the confines of your memory.

As your walk continues under the old oak trees you start to feel a an electric vibration coming from down the way. Quiet at first, but grows louder with every step. The sound of birds and bugs and traffic are drowned out by the buzzing of people, laughter and 90’s pop punk.

You see a little building surrounded by patio umbrellas, you see feet dangling from the other side of the bar seats out onto the street. People pouring in and out of this tiny little place.

“What is this?” You ask yourself. You turn to see what’s happening under the little metal roof and BOOOOOOM

This bad boy and its potato and onion friends are staring you right in the face 🍔👀

So this is love comes on over the speakers. The world stops spinning for a few seconds, all your worries vanish. Life is good.

Mark your calendars! On June 13, Gulf State Park will be hosting an early World Sea Turtle Day celebration.

Throughout the day, we’ll be offering sea turtle-themed programs and activities for all ages, including sea turtle rescue demonstrations at the pier, opportunities to learn how to protect nests with Share the Beach, sea turtle basics at the Nature Center, a dive into the archaeological history of sea turtles at the Learning Campus, and more!

Please be sure to register for each program in advance and double-check the location, as programs will be held in different areas throughout the park. After opening the link, click “View Details” to learn more about each program and where it will take place.
