Just spent two weeks at SandDollar to rest and enjoy. Also to get my final condo stuff out of storage. The complex was pretty empty the entire time except for 2-3 days really weird I have to say. Stayed in my dear friend Tina’s unit. Enjoyed the pool but had to ask the lawn guy to pull the grass growing in the concrete around the pool and next to the pump house. Trash all around the complex and outside a unit the whole time. Beach was great the first week but second it was rough and muddy looking. Two young girls had two dogs they tried to hide by walking them in the front and not cleaning up after them. SandDollar has needed proper management and it hasn’t happened in over 20 years. ☹️

Great news for Blue Angels fans... Starting on May 17th visitors will be once again permitted on the Base in certain areas; the Pensacola Lighthouse, Fort Barrancas, and the National Naval Aviation Museum. Visitors can watch the Blue Angels practice at the Naval Aviation Museum.

As E-Bikes have become popular we have noticed improper usage. We are taking the opportunity to provide information from the City of Gulf Shores - Municipal Government ordinance to help inform our community about the proper usage:

Sec 6-18 (b) (4)
Motorized vehicles or conveyances. No person shall operate any motor vehicle, motorized vehicle, motor-driven cycle, motorized scooter or other self-propelled conveyance on any portion of the Gulf Place City Beachfront outside the designated vehicle travelways and parking areas except as authorized by permit issued by the city council upon written application; provided, however, that this provision shall not apply to (a) any electric personal assistive mobility device which is a self-balancing two (2) non-tandem wheeled device as defined in Ala. Code § 31-1-1.1, (b) to any motorized vehicle or conveyance when being utilized by law enforcement or other municipal personnel in the active provision of public safety or public maintenance services, or (c) to an "other power-driven mobility device" as defined for purposes of the Americans With Disabilities Act when used by a person providing credible assurance that the device is used because of a disability.
