Holy cow!! Our youngest has officially graduated and we are now empty nesters!! Wow what a ride… I don’t feel old enough to be in this stage of life yet, it kind of just snuck up on me 😂

I’m so proud of this kid though. He kept us on our toes for sure, but he’s headed for great things!

Now we are all on to the next set of adventures!

This is all happening so fast…

But I am officially the new owner of !!

I can’t wait to tell you all the crazy details, but for now here are the basic deets:

We will be closed May 25-30 and reopen June 1, with a grand re-opening to be held at the end of June-ish (depending on when my first grandbaby comes!)

I will be doing weddings, events and everyday florals - plus we are keeping the boutique. The location and name will stay the same!

Stay tuned for this wild ride to come!!

I am changing the drip system in my boxes this year. Hopefully it will be a little more organized, but that means I need to order parts, so it will be later this week before I can use it.

I’ll be hand watering until then, so pro tip- get your water system in first and then you can plant. It didn’t work out that way this year so we are just rolling with it.

If I can keep the seedlings alive through the early stage, I should have an awesome mix of flowers for the wedding in August!

It’s so weird that we’ve been married for 25 years! I had no idea the wild ride I was signing up for when I said “I do”, but I don’t think I would change it for anything different. Thank you for all the adventures , here’s to 25 more 🥂

There is absolutely no water in the soil right now and it’s only Mid March. This is our rainy season, but we’ve had nothing but wind and super high temperatures. Not a great way to start the spring…

Doing some planning for the future today. I am going to add 4 apple trees, but I will be placing them strategically so that they work with the overall garden landscape design. (Swipe to see what it currently looks like!)

This will create a great separation from the road when they fill in, plus act as a wind break. I will eventually add some shrubs as well to create a thicker hedgerow.

Plus it will be a fun little corner for photo spots, and future grandkids to explore!

Today I started a seed starting journey. I’ve never started from seed before so it will be an interesting experiment this year!

I’m trying two different methods - winter sowing some perennials (echinacea, eryngium, and yarrow) in milk jugs, and then growing some flowers (snapdragons, queen Anne’s lace, sweet peas & zinnias) inside under lights.

I’m pretty excited to see how everything works out, or if it doesn’t. It will help me refine my systems in years to come.
