Ready to make your summer vacation astronomical? Tickets are now available for public programs at the Gunnison Valley Observatory! Attend a family-friendly astronomy talk, marvel at the Milky Way, and see the stars like you've never seen them before through our 30" telescope. Astronomy talks are offered every Friday evening from June 16-August 18. Dome tours and telescope viewing happen every Friday and Saturday evening from June 16-August 19. We also offer a limited number of private viewings (rent the observatory for you and your friends), but they are already selling out fast! The Lake Fork boat ramp opened yesterday and the other ramps will follow. The reservoir level is expected to rise to 5-10 feet below full pool! If you haven’t already booked your stay with us for the summer, now is the time!
