Alaskan Anglers Inn

Alaskan Anglers Inn At the Alaskan Anglers Inn, we offer a 5-day, fully guided fishing package in Gustavus, Alaska. There is no need for any rental cars.

The fishing package is a no-nonsense, top-notch quality fishing vacation. Gustavus is known as the Southern Gateway to Glacier Bay National Park. It is even more well known for Giant Halibut, Ling Cod and an abundance of King and Silver Salmon. Gustavus is a small borough of about 300 year round residents that has a unique distinction of Alaska Airline 737 access. From early June until mid August; your flight from Seattle will arrive in Gustavus where we will be waiting to pick you up in our courtesy vans. In May and again in September, the final 20 minute leg of your flight, from Juneau to Gustavus, will be aboard a local air charter. The Anglers Inn Lodge is located just 2 miles from the airport and less than a mile from the Gustavus dock. We provide all transfer shuttles to and from the airport and the fishing dock.

Wildlife Wednesday: The Moose of Gustavus. Moose are right at home in the wetlands and forests surrounding our little corner of Southeast Alaska, and despite being the largest member of the deer family, they’re surprisingly good at disappearing into the brush.

Fall also happens to be rutting season, making this an especially interesting time of year for these impressive Gustavus locals.

At Alaskan Anglers, the fishing may bring you to Alaska, but it’s everything you experience along the way that makes a trip here unforgettable.

Take me back to mornings like this. time Cold air. Steam rising from your coffee. The sun coming up over Alaska. And nowhere else you’d rather be.

We’re already missing these slow mornings at Alaskan Anglers. The kind where you sip your coffee, take a deep breath, and wonder why you don’t live here.

Honestly, we’d rather have our coffee here, too.

Book your 2027 Alaskan escape. The coffee tastes better in Alaska.

And just like that… the final morning of the season is here. ❄️☀️

The air is cold. The lodge is quiet. The sun is beginning to break through the clouds, and our last guests are heading out for one final day on the water.

One last boat leaving the dock.
One last cast.
One last chance to chase the fish, the wildlife, the stories. The kind of days that somehow never feel long enough.

There’s always something a little bittersweet about this morning. After a summer full of laughter, big fish, long days, muddy boots, tired smiles and memories made in a place that feels a world away… it’s hard to say goodbye.

If you made it to Alaska with us this year, you know.

If you didn’t?

Well… you officially missed your 2026 chance.

But don’t worry. We’re already looking toward 2027, and there’s still room for you.

The boats will be waiting.
The rivers will still be running.
The fish will still be there.
And Alaska will be doing what Alaska does best.

2026 is officially in the books.
2027 is your next chance.

Don’t let another season pass without seeing it for yourself.

WILDLIFE WEDNESDAY

When your path takes you down a remote Alaska dirt road… and you have to stop for mama and baby moose. You can plan the fishing. You can plan the adventure.
But you can’t plan Alaska.

And honestly? You really should’ve been here.

Day 1 of the final week.

The boats are leaving the dock. The season is winding down. And somewhere out there, someone is having the Alaska trip you’ve been talking about taking.

Just saying… you could’ve been on this boat. 👀

POV: You booked the last week of the season. Rain outside. Fire going. Hot tub hot. Drink in hand.

Meanwhile, you’re watching this from somewhere that definitely isn’t Alaska.

Last group rolls in today. One. Last. Week.

You coming next season? 🎣

The best way to start the day. The 2026 season is almost over, you didn’t miss it, did you?
