Saw this little critter making several trips from the lake to the deck of Cabin 7 this morning. It would swim out to the end of the gas dock and then return to shore with something in its mouth and run up under the deck. Back and forth! Fun to watch!

🎣Here’s your final fishing report for the season from Dan Ryan —

🎣Leech: all rock and all minnows will serve you well on leech this week. Casting or drifting jigs in 7-12’ along shoreline points is your best bet for catching numbers. Rigging big red tails or creek chubs in the same waters will up your chances for a big one.

🎣Woman: if you’re a live bait guy (me) then a mix of minnows and sizes is all you’ll need for a good walleye day on woman from here on out. Bigger schools of fish are showing up around prominent points, but most groups are still around w**d edges or softer bottoms. Prevailing pattern is 10-14’ with a 1/4 oz jig and minnow. Some other groups of fish are being found in 17-20’ along the base of the breaks. Jig raps are also catching a few fish, and once again you can up your chances for a big one with a live bait rig and red tail. Good luck!

What a season 2026 has been! Want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful guests who came to stay with us this year! Many hours were spent enjoying campfires, boat rides, laying on the beach, tubing & skiing, fishing and making memories with family & friends. 🎣Here’s the latest from Dan Ryan —

🎣Leech: fall shore rock patterns are slowly getting going, but fish are very much in transition between the main lake flats and the rocks. A few bigger schools are set up in 7-12’ rock, and the scattered fish are still around on the flats. Still getting a few on crawlers, but the biggest shift is a general presence for minnows, especially rainbows or red tails. Should only get stronger as the week progresses.

🎣Woman: jig and minnow season is for sure here on Woman. Big schools of fish are using firm bottom breaklines and they want minnows like they’re going out of style! My preference on Woman is fatheads and rainbows since the fish run a little smaller. Shallowest fish are in 6’ of sand, and bigger groups are found on the break or at the bottom of the break, meaning biggest numbers are in 14-20’.
