Pinewood Resort Pinewood occupies 550 feet of natural, sandy beach that slopes gently into Ten Mile Lake, one of Minnesota's deepest, clearest lakes.

Between the cabins and beach is a well-kept lawn. The resort has 7 rental cabins, a lodge, and 3 private cabins.

Please share! Fall is the time of year we receive many calls for hooked loons. Juvenile loons are starting to fish independently and often approach fishing boats looking for an easy meal. They may strike at a baited hook or lure, or get hooked when the angler is casting. Always reel in when loons are near! Never cast towards a loon. Please use lead free tackle. Lead poisoning is the leading cause of loon deaths!

Loon alert! 🐣🚤
Boaters, please use extra caution when cruising through the following areas—our loon chicks are floating fluffballs of joy, but they’re fragile and hard to spot in wake zones. Let’s give them the space they need to grow and thrive.

We currently have chicks in:
• 2 chicks in Long Bay
• 2 chicks in Flower Pot Bay
• 1 chick near Gainey Point on the West side
• 1 chick in Kenfield Bay
• 1 newly hatched chick in the Robinson Bay area

Please go easy on the throttle—don’t be a loon-atic out there! 🛶💚
