New Report! Monday, October 5th, 2026.
Water temp 64 degrees +-
Level is low and dropping
Clarity on upper 4 is less than 1 foot.
Flow is ok, there is a little current right now.

Walleyes: Has anyone seen one of these mythical creatures? Reports all over the top end of Pool 4 are dismal to say the least. I have caught a few saugers around the resort this week which has not happened in weeks. I am taking that as a good sign of things starting to turn.
Sturgeon: The Sturgeon bite has been the best thing going. Seeing a pretty good influx of fish and fisherman as well. Yesterday at 4 p.m. there were 8 boats fishing Sturgeon between the resort and the dam. 10 years ago there would have been one, maybe. I personally love that folks are starting to pursue these river monsters. I see so many kids out fishing them, makes me happy to see it.
Catfish: Both channel cats and flatheads are biting good. Putting on that fall feed bag for the winter ahead.
Panfish: If you are looking for a fish dinner this is where you need to focus your attention. Crappies and Bluegills are biting very good. Focus on rock or wood along the shorelines and you will be handsomely rewarded.

Feels like fall! I dont know about you all but I am happy to see the cooler temps.
Took a little ride along the river this afternoon and noticed a little color in the trees. Fall is near!

To say we are slightly optimistic yet excited to see some heavy rains would be a huge understatement. If this system develops overnight tonight and actually provides rainfall totals anywhere near these numbers it will be EXACTLY what we need. The timing could not be better. A nice influx of water will help fire up the fall migration of fish from Lake Pepin. Saugers, Walleyes and Sturgeon tend to respond quickly to heavy fall rains. The current, higher oxygen levels and mass of shiners that move upriver has all the predators hot on their tails.
Fingers crossed we see this rain.
We definitely need the water!

Still a few open cabin dates in October, November and December. Captain Chris says he has got some fall Walleye / Sauger dates available as well with Wi******er Adventures.

Everts Resort is looking for part-time/temporary help for our fall Walleye season. Season runs from October 1 - Thanksgiving. 16-24 hrs/week, daytime hours. Must be willing to work weekends as needed. Please call Tracy for more information. 715-792-2333

Last night I sat in the boat after sunset and for the first time in a long time, felt a chill.
Feeling that cool air had me reminiscing about the great fall fishing ahead. With September just a few days away it wont be long before the Walleyes are snapping, the smallmouth are busting shad on the surface and the Sturgeon and Flatheads are putting on their winter weight.

Snow plowing needed at Everts Resort this winter.

The gentleman who has been plowing our lot for the last several years is retiring from the snow plow business. We are looking for someone who would be interested in plowing our road and lot. I am certain I can get details about how long it took each time and that kind of information from the the gentleman who did it in the past. Option #2:
7 night stay at Everts Resort for up to 4 adult guests, including a waterfront cabin and unlimited ramp use.

The Main Baitshop will be closing to the public for the summer as of May 26. We will reopen just after Labor Day.

Our 24 hr self service area will also be available throughout the summer. You can purchase a launch and park pass, nightcrawlers, fathead minnows, ice, and wood anytime, day or night. We also have vending items (soda, candy bars, tackle) available.

Our Cabins remain open and we do still have bookings available throughout the summer.

Coming to the RW area for a graduation? A wedding? A family reunion? A concert at TI Casino?
