We are looking for a Hotel Front Desk Agent to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their accommodation. Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. If you have a knack for customer service and work experience in the hotel industry, we’d like to meet you. Ultimately, you will help create a pleasant and memorable stay for our guests.

Responsibilities

Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
Manage online and phone reservations
Inform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card data
Register guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)
Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms
Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
Respond to clients’ complaints in a timely and professional manner
Liaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
Confirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendees, like wedding guests
Upsell additional facilities and services, when appropriate
Maintain updated records of bookings and payments
Skills

Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role
Experience with hotel reservations software, like Oracle Opera
Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisor
Customer service attitude
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Degree in hotel management is a plus

Room Attendants are responsible for the cleanliness of guest rooms, hallways, and public areas in the hotel. Responsibilities include: servicing guest rooms daily in accordance with hotel procedures, stocking cart with room supplies, and replacing bed linens and replenishing guest room supplies. This position requires strong attention to detail, ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members verbally or in written form, and the ability to bend, lift, and be standing or walking all day.

The responsibilities and expectations of a Room Attendant:

Vacuuming and sweeping carpets and floors
Mopping floors as needed
Dusting, brushing, polishing, and vacuuming furniture
Dusting and cleaning room decorations, appliances, and structural surfaces (eg. Wall fixtures, window sills, vents, etc.)
Changing linen and making beds
Cleaning showers, tubs, sinks, and bathroom items
Removing used guest amenities and trash
Replenishing guest amenities and supplies
Inspecting rooms for safety hazards and for the operating condition of equipment and reporting same to maintenance
Check for damaged linens
Reporting lost and found articles, maintenance problems, or special room problems to a supervisor
Maintaining storage rooms and stocking carts
Emptying linen from housekeeping cart into laundry cart
Recording room status on work assignment sheets
Providing information to guest about hotel services, facility and other amenities
Providing information to guest about local attractions/services
Providing rooms for guest arrival and responding to special guest requests, such as delivering newspapers or cleaning a spill

A Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they have a chance to worsen. A Maintenance Technician will usually be required to perform a wide range of repair tasks around a facility. Some other tasks a Maintenance Technician may be called upon to do include:

Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
Maintaining the building HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped
