The Drum Bay Board of Directors continues to work with the county to address the long-standing junk and debris issue on Richardson Street. While these matters can take time as they move through the proper legal and county processes, we remain committed to seeing this through and appreciate everyone’s patience and support.
We would also like to remind all property owners that excessive junk, debris, and unmaintained lots can have a significant impact on our community. They can lower neighboring property values, discourage prospective buyers from purchasing in our neighborhood, and affect everyone’s investment in their homes and property. Keeping our community clean and well-maintained helps preserve not only its beauty but also the value of our properties.
Please do not allow junk and debris to accumulate on your lots. If you need assistance removing unwanted items, there are local junk removal and dumpster rental services that may be able to help. The county dump is also conveniently located just off Cople Highway. Additionally, please be aware that illegal dumping—even on your own property—can be considered a violation of county regulations and may result in fines or other enforcement actions.
We all chose Drum Bay because of its natural beauty and sense of community. Let’s continue working together to make it a place we’re proud to call home. A little effort from each of us goes a long way toward protecting the neighborhood for current and future property owners.
Thank you to the many neighbors who take pride in maintaining their properties. Your efforts truly make a difference.
