There’s something special about having your own little cabin to come home to after a full day of exploring Alaska. 😌💙

One of the things we love most about our cabins at Stillpoint is how they bring together the comforts of home with the little luxuries that make a vacation feel extra special.

Tucked away in a remote corner of Alaska, our cabins offer a level of comfort and luxury you might not expect to find so far off the beaten path. Each cabin has its own name and personality, with cozy furnishings, thoughtful details, and beautiful views of the surrounding wilderness.

It’s a place to enjoy a slow morning with coffee, put your feet up after a day of adventure, and settle in for a good night’s rest.

We want our guests to feel completely at home here, while still experiencing the magic of being somewhere so wonderfully remote.

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting Jim, you know he’s never short on a good story. 🥹🙌🏼

Last year, we sat down with Jim, Stillpoint Lodge’s co-founder, to hear more about the history of the lodge, and he certainly delivered!

From the stories behind each cabin to the views, little details, and memories made along the way, Jim shared all sorts of fun tidbits about how Stillpoint came to be and what makes this place so special.

Through-Hike Grace Ridge 🥾

This long and challenging, yet beautiful hike, brings you 11 miles along a rugged mountain trail, old-growth forest and exposed ridge lines to overlook Sadie Cove, Cook Inlet, and some distant volcanoes.

Our team works hard to make every stay special, and sometimes that means arranging an extra boat ride just so a guest can see the sea otters they’ve been hoping to spot!

It’s those personal touches that mean so much to us, and we’re glad they don’t go unnoticed.

Not every Alaska adventure has to be a big one. In fact, we always recommend balancing the bigger adventure days with a few slower, more exploratory experiences, like our Wildlife Safari Cruise or a cultural tour. 🙌🏼

Some days, it’s just nice to get out on the water, cruise around Kachemak Bay, and see what shows up.

Maybe it’s a sea otter floating nearby, a seal popping its head above the water, eagles overhead, or a whale spout in the distance. 🐋 You never really know what you’ll spot out here, and that’s part of the fun.

It’s hard to believe it’s already been almost a month since we said goodbye to our final guests and watched our staff head home one by one. 🫶🏼

After a summer filled with familiar faces, new friendships, days out exploring Alaska, meals around the table, and so many moments in between, the lodge feels a whole lot quieter these days.

We’re already missing the people who filled Stillpoint with life all summer long and feeling very grateful for another season together.
