Sitting on our deck at Ham Lake resort; reflecting on today, as I do many times since we were blessed with this place. Thinking about the huge benefit for HDSA Minnesota Chapter before me. I haven't been involved with the chapter since covid. I feel community in the greatest the greatest way ever. I am blessed to be able to be able to do the benefit with so much help from my coworkers, family, bosses TRA, campers and OUR SPONSORS. i am very excited for this benefit I hope you can stop by and say hi and enjoy this event. 🌲 Help Us Keep the Power On! Vital Energy Tips for This Week’s Heat Wave ☀️
Hey Campers,

We are experiencing an extreme heat wave this week, and our camp power grid is working overtime. To prevent blown fuses, tripped breakers, and unexpected blackouts, we need every campsite to help conserve energy.
By cutting back on non-essential power, we can ensure the park's transformers stay cool and the electricity keeps flowing for everyone.

Here is how you can help right now:
☀️Raise your AC thermostat. Set it to 75°F (24°C) or higher. Use fans to circulate the air.
☀️Keep doors and windows shut. Prevent your cool air from escaping into the heat.
☀️Turn off extra appliances. Switch off outdoor lights, extra TVs, and electronics when not in use.
☀️Limit high-draw items. Avoid running electric water heaters, microwaves, and hair dryers simultaneously.
☀️Cook outdoors. Use propane grills or camp stoves instead of electric hot plates or indoor ovens.
☀️Unplug fully charged devices. Phones, laptops, and golf carts draw power even when 100% full.
