Black Lake's called "Nature's Fish Hatchery" for a reason - 8,000+ acres of walleye, largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, crappie, perch, and bluegill. Our docks have seen some absolute monsters over the years.

2026 was a summer of many cabin renovations at Back Bay! Six of our cabin living rooms for some much needed face-lifts, with new couches that offer extra sleeping space and cozy blankets for those who love to snuggle up.

We may have gotten a little carried away with our offseason renovations at Back Bay Campground! 👀

Remember the three-season decks on Vintage Voyager and Classic Camper?

Yeah… they’re GONE. Both of them. Completely ripped out! 💥🛠️

But don’t worry, we haven’t lost our minds (at least not completely 🤣).

We’re giving BOTH cabins some serious love this offseason, including completely renovated interiors and brand-new three-season decks! 🏡✨

Our goal? To make these two guest favorites even better for the 2027 camping season!

And just like that, the 2026 season has come to an end. We are sad to announce that all of our seasonal cabins are officially closed until May. Before we say goodbye, we wanted to look back at some of our favorite additions and upgrades from this year.
But that’s not all, we have even more updates planned for the 2027 season. Thank you to everyone who chose to stay with us at Back Bay this season. But don’t let this be goodbye because 2027 online booking is officially open! Book your stay now and come check out all the changes for yourself next summer!

Come check out one of our brand-new glamping domes, Ta**us ♉️. Each of our domes was named to represent someone in our family, and Ta**us is dedicated to our lovely owner - which means this one is obviously the best one. Inside each dome, you’ll find a queen bed, nightstands, fan, shoe rack, luggage rack, under-bed storage, mini trash can, and shower supplies. Step outside onto your private porch with Adirondack chairs, a smokeless fire pit, grill, and hammock. All dome guests also have access to our shared bathhouse and kitchenette (because we said glamping, not roughing it).
