37 North is seeking a passionate, energetic, organized, customer-service minded individual, with marina management, and customer service experience, to manage the operations of Old Point Comfort Marina in Hampton, VA.
Pack Brothers Hospitality’s newest venture, 37 North at Fort Monroe, is bringing a world-class marina, hotel, restaurant, and conference center to Fort Monroe in Hampton, VA. We're looking for the right person to operate and manage the marina.
Pack Brothers Hospitality is an established hospitality management and consulting group based in Smithfield, VA, with operations located in Virginia.
This position will oversee all aspects of marina operations, including; maintenance, project management, customer service, staffing, reporting, legal compliance, as well as emergency preparedness and response.
Responsibilities / Duties include but not limited to:
~ Coordinate team scheduling to cover all necessary positions and duties in season and off-season times. Be prepared to cover unscheduled team absence if necessary.
~ Conduct necessary, regular training of all team members for all the elements to operate the facility safely, efficiently and at the highest level of customer service as possible.
~ Handle all customer service issues and problems satisfactorily with the highest degree of professionalism, diplomacy and problem-solving skills.
~ Manage and prepare all budget requirements to ensure proper collection of revenue, balance of expenses and efficient A/R tracking.
~ Assist Office Administrator to Compile all daily revenue and income reporting on a daily income/activity sheet for the main office accounting team to process.
~ Monitor facility conditions, including dock infrastructure condition, safety and security issues and make recommendations for corrections or repairs.
~ Oversee all projects, upgrades and repairs on site.
~ The marina and land-side facilities are undergoing redevelopment and upgrades at this time to offer an improved and larger facility once completed. Manager is responsible for coordinating with contractors and supervisors on site while overseeing marina operations and development, to ensure a smooth transition and completed project.
~ Work on project proposals and coordinate with contractors or vendors to supply data and pricing to enable proper proposals and budgets.
~ Keep all business licenses, permits and required inspections up to date in all elements of the facility.
~ Be prepared to work regularly on weekend day or days and/or holidays, as the season requires during high season periods and be reasonably available in case of emergency.
~ Manage fuel sales to include dispensing, ordering and pricing.
~ Hire, fire and manage all additional team members while upholding company standards and procedures
Qualification Requirements:
~ 2-4+ years of marina management experience or senior marina operations position.
~ An undergraduate degree is desired but not required.
~ Proven management experience of personnel in an operations position.
~ Thorough knowledge of boats, systems, marinas, mechanical and/or electrical basic knowledge/experience.
~ Strong working knowledge and experience of making repairs and working knowledge of power tools and hand tools for mechanical, wood and other repairs to be done onsite.
~ Strong leadership, management, customer service, communications and diplomacy skills.
~ Excellent interpersonal skills with employees, customers, supervisors and public.
Highly organized office, computer and data filing capabilities.
~ High degree of integrity; team player; motivating; personable; and confidential when required.
Have a high degree of customer relations experience, and a desire to conduct all client and public interactions with the highest-level of customer service communications and problem solving.
