It's been a minute since we updated our FB page and we have had lots of questions from the public as to the status of the project. Good news, we continue to progress! This process is terribly slow but there are so many resources to consider, this time spent is a necessity! How often do you get the opportunity to bring a development to a Historic National Monument? To build on a fort that has so much history in it?
The below rendering is a CONCEPTUAL drawing of our latest thought process. You can see the repurposed buildings closest to the Chamberlin in the foreground with the redesigned marina in the background. Good things are coming - just with time.
Our latest projected opening dates remain 4 years out - January 2028. Until then, we continue to work on preserving the history and story of the fort with the focus of bringing a world-class marina destination to the Lower Chesapeake Bay!
