The sulphur hatch is still going strong and should hopefully stay that way for a few more weeks. If you want a challenge to test your skills and a shot at this technical hatch get in on the action before it is over.

The dry fly fishing continues to be excellent. It’s been a great summer so far with big fish up talking dries and great hatches of Sulphurs. The hatch is still going strong, so if you want to get in on the action before it is over give us a call. We have lodging available for this weekend!

Just in from NYSDEC:

NYSDEC has requested a release from the 2017 FFMP Thermal Mitigation Bank due to the forecast of warm and sunny conditions. The daily high water temperature at Lordville, NY is projected to approach or exceed 75 degrees with the current conservation release from Cannonsville Reservoir.
 
NYSDEC requested an increased release from Cannonsville Reservoir in the form of a 10 hour +300 cfs pulse above the current Table 4G Level L2 release of 500 cfs.
 
The pulse is requested to begin with two steps up at 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2026.

A release of 800 cfs should be maintained from 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM.

The pulse should be ended with two steps down at 6:00 AM, and 8:00 AM on Wednesday, July 15, 2026.
 
There are about 1448 cfs-days remaining in the bank before this evening’s release. About 92 cfs-days will be debited from the thermal bank for this evening’s pulse.
