**A MESSAGE FROM TOMORROW WOOD CAMPGROUND**
This past week, we experienced a devastating fire here at Tomorrow Wood Campground. Several camping trailers and personal belongings were destroyed or significantly damaged, and a number of our seasonal camping families are now dealing with the loss of property that held years of memories.
Most importantly, NO ONE WAS INJURED IN THE FIRE, and for that we are extremely grateful. Property can be replaced. People cannot. Considering the extent of the fire and how quickly a fire can spread through a campground, we know just how fortunate we are.
We cannot say enough about the incredible response from the firefighters and emergency personnel who came to our campground to help. We would like to extend a heartfelt
THANK YOU to:
**Coloma Station One
**Coloma Station Two
**Plainfield
**Wautoma
**Wild Rose
**Saxeville
**Redgranite
**Westfield
**Neshkoro
The number of departments and firefighters who responded was incredible. We are extremely lucky and thankful to have so many people willing to come together when our community needs them.
We would also like to give a special thank-you to Coloma Kwik Trip for helping get food and drinks to the firefighters. Your help was greatly appreciated during an incredibly difficult day.
NOW WE WANT TO HELP THE FAMILIES AFFECTED BY THE FIRE
Our campground community has already stepped up in a huge way. We are planning a **Fire Relief Benefit at Tomorrow Wood Campground on Saturday, October 3**, in conjunction with our end-of-season gathering.
We have had an overwhelming response from people wanting to donate. Many beautiful baskets are already being put together, and we would like to hold a **basket raffle, 50/50 raffle and auction**, with proceeds from the benefit going to help the seasonal campers whose property was destroyed or damaged in the fire.
However, we want to make sure that everything we do is handled properly and follows Wisconsin raffle laws.
**This is where we are asking our local community for some help.**
We are looking for an **eligible local nonprofit, charitable, service, veterans, fraternal, religious or other qualifying organization that already holds a Wisconsin raffle license** and may be able to legally work with us on this benefit.
We are **not asking an organization to simply let us use its raffle license.** We are looking for an eligible licensed organization that would be willing to talk with us about whether it can legally participate in, sponsor, or conduct the raffle portion of this benefit under Wisconsin law.
If you are part of a local organization that may qualify and would be willing to help—or if you know an organization we should contact—please reach out to Tomorrow Wood Campground or send us a private message.**
We will also be contacting Wisconsin Charitable Gaming to make sure everything is done correctly before any raffle tickets are sold.
The response we have already received from our campers, friends and surrounding communities has reminded us how many good people we have around us.
**Thank you to everyone who fought the fire, offered help, donated items, checked on us, and has asked what they can do for the families who were affected.
We are extremely grateful.
