Life is short. So much shorter than we sometimes allow ourselves to remember.
This week, after losing someone very close to us, someone who carried God’s light with her wherever she went, we’ve been reminded just how precious this life really is.
Live it. Truly live it.
Be yourself. Be a good person. Do what you love. Take the trip. Laugh loudly. Forgive when you can. Spend time with the people who matter. Tell the people you love that you love them, and then tell them again.
Because when our time here is over, we take nothing with us. Not the things we owned, the money we made, or the things we worried so much about.
What we leave behind are memories. Love. Kindness. The way we made people feel. The moments when we showed up for someone. The laughter people will still hear when they think of us. The light we brought into their lives.
So today, ask yourself:
If today were my last day, would I be happy with how I lived it?
Am I doing what I love?
Do the people I love know how much they mean to me?
Would people remember me for being kind?
Was I a light in someone else’s world?
None of us are promised tomorrow. So love deeply. Live fully. Be kind. Be you. And wherever you go, leave a little bit of light behind. ❤️
