We had a blast!

Yesterday at the The Belvedere Inn a collaboration of neighbors took place. Hosted by Pat , Innkeeper of The Belvedere, and The Warped Spoon, a cooking class took place. One of four for this season.
But not just any cooking class- a class where shopping local is always taught as well.
While their cooking classes are intimate, they are a powerful tool to local merchants.
In the class guests learn, have fun, enjoy the company and, we hope, shop small.
This past Sunday some of their soup ingredients came from Clemens General Store & Mississippi Marketplace in the form of oils and spices.
Way to support your neighbors, ladies! There’s nothing like a hearty “support your locals” partnership!
We must also mention the local sunflower oil producers we are so lucky to have- Show Me HH Farms.
AND one of the recipes taught was from Historic Ilasco.

We are gearing up for this year’s Bread Making Class with The Warped Spoon on Sunday. These beauties attended our very first class last year. 😘 😘

In case you have guests or run into a weary traveler please let them know that Gran Rio Grande Mexican Bar & Grill will be open - 24 hours he said. It's the restaurant in the County Market shopping mall. GREAT margaritas - oh and food!! Safe travels.
