While recent flooding has caused a closure along M-119 (Tunnel of Trees), getting to Spirit Lake Retreat is still easy with a quick detour. The lake is waiting, local businesses are ready, and summer in Northern Michigan is almost here!

Sleepy, snow-covered Cross Village is still tucked beneath a quiet white blanket ❄️

The roads are calm, the lake is still, and everything feels like it’s holding its breath.

But it’s March… which means spring is on its way. 🌿

In like a lion, out like a lamb.

Soon the snow will melt, the Tunnel of Trees will begin to stir, and Lake Michigan will welcome back long walks and golden sunsets. We can almost feel it.

We’ll see you in May. 💛
