Thank you for your continued business while we're open on Saturdays only (one more until we return to Friday & Saturday hours) from 10am-4pm!

As mentioned, Aaron and I are on a trip; one that we've been planning for the past 6years. We attended the International Show Caves Association 10th Congress in Périgueux, France as representatives from Niagara Cave, along with Mark & Jenny. The Convention has concluded (photos from this portion of the trip coming soon on the Niagara Cave page). Aaron and I have now begun the portion of our trip that consists of quiet time in the French countryside. Here are a few photos. We'll return home on the 13th and look forward to seeing you over MEA weekend!

Seed & Stone will be open SATURDAYS ONLY (10am-4pm) the next three weeks. Please be patient with Amy's mom (Mary) and friend, Bonita, as they do their best to run the shop!

My apologies for not communicating our upcoming absence better ahead of our trip. I had planned to be at the shop the past two weekends to inform our regular birdseed customers, but needed to be home with our dog Aurora instead as her health rapidly declined.

Thank you for your understanding!

A couple of updates: We said goodbye to Aurora on Thursday. We're thankful for the week that we had after learning of the cancer. We were able to keep her as comfortable as possible with the help of medications and two fluid draw-offs during that time. We encouraged her to eat by cooking the remaining beef cuts we had in our chest freezer (sirloin, roast, ribs, and stew bones); so she ate well this week when she was willing to accept it. She went on ALL the car rides; whenever she wanted to climb up in (with our help). She took short walks on the property with us, laid in the grass with us out by the fire pit, and soaked in as much love as we could give her this past week. There's never a good time to say goodbye to a family member and we're going to miss her dearly. Love you sweet girl 💔

Lastly, our hours for the next three weeks will be SATURDAYS ONLY from 10-4pm. Closed Fridays the next three weeks. More on this next week.

🍁 Saturday, September 19 | 10AM–2PM

There’s a LOT happening around town:

🛍️ Sidewalk sales, in-store specials, pop-ups & giveaways at businesses throughout Harmony — with plenty moving indoors if Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate.

🎨 Art on the Green Makers Market featuring local artists, makers, bakers and crafters. RAIN PLAN: The Makers Market will move INSIDE the Harmony Visitor Center, so you can shop no matter the weather!

🎉 Green Loop Refillery Grand Opening — Ribbon Cutting at 9:30AM, followed by their grand opening from 10AM–5PM.

🍎 Fall food & drink specials around town, including caramel apple French toast, butternut squash soup, apple c***r hot toddies, fall cocktails, local lunch specials and more.

📸 Photo op with Barnyard Animal Rescue's MirBroadband on the patio in front of the Harmony Visitor Center.

🎶 And keep the fun going into the evening — LaBarge will be playing Estelle’s patio from 5–8PM!

Plus, visit the art fair, take a tour of the historic McMichael Grain Elevator, explore Niagara Cave, play mini golf, book an Amish tour and see what else you discover along the way.

Rain or shine, Fall for Harmony is ON! 🍂 Grab an umbrella, bring a friend and come make a day of it in Harmony!

Seed & Stone WILL be open tomorrow, Saturday, Sept. 12th from 10-4pm. My mom will be covering the shop most of the day (which she's never done before), so please be patient with her.

An update on Aurora: She began anti-inflammatory and anti-nausea medication today and was willing to eat, so we had a good day. She was interested in going on two walks, wanted a car ride (so we went to town and the Cave with the windows down), and we spent a fair bit of the day sitting out in the cool grass together. Here are some precious memories from today.

Seed & Stone will be closed tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 11th to spend some time with our pups. Our sweet Aurora has not been herself for the past couple of weeks and after lots of tests and waiting, today we received the diagnosis that our sweet girl has an aggressive cancer proliferating in her abdominal cavity around her organs. Saturday is up in the air; will post here if we'll be closed.

Last week I mentioned that the monarch migration has begun. Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting hundreds of monarchs in our grove. They're still there as of this morning. We have 80 acres of prairie with an abundance of forbs currently in bloom, so hopefully they'll stay to refuel and rest for a few days!
