Love is in the air! 🩷

Love is in the air! A pair of peregrine falcons have been spotted on Maryland Heights again this year. Peregrine falcons have successfully raised young for five consecutive years on the bluffs at Maryland Heights.

The park's annual closure to promote a successful nesting and breeding season will go into effect around Valentine's Day. Visitors should expect the closure to remain in place until mid-to-late July. This closure protects off-trail areas of the Maryland Heights cliff faces, but the trail and overlook will remain open. Closures will be clearly marked with fencing and signage. Thank you for respecting the closure and the love birds' privacy.
