Tributary: A Field Life Retreat

We have had a wonderful first trimester here at Tributary. Nearly fully occupied cabins and lots of coaching and debriefing going on with wonderful feedback from our guests.

By The Numbers:
Soul Nights: 675 (a 51% increase over last year to date)
Comprised of:
- 24 Singles
- 25 Couples
- 9 Families
Taking part in:
- 27 Gospel workers coached
- 19 Gospel workers debriefed
We continue to be fueled by the light that returns to our guests' eyes as they prepare to leave Tributary and head back into their Great Commission callings.

A, serving in Serbia, just wrote: "My stay here has been so restful; it has given me a chance to seek and receive clarity from God regarding my call and work in Serbia. The soul care I received from Ashley and MacGregor was a big part of that. Thank you...."

J and H, serving in India, also said: "It is really amazing to be able to experience this at no cost to us. We came in after a hard season of work on the field. I felt confused about our future. I felt that I had a hardened heart by crisis and disappointment...Then we did a debrief with MacGregor and Ashley...the Lord really met me, and I felt the Holy Spirit ministering to my wounds. Now we are experiencing so much more joy in the Lord..."

Pray with us this week for His wisdom for our guest debriefer Shannon Eaton and care as debriefings continue for S, S & K, and as coaching continues for P and A. Also, pray for our volunteers for safety as we renovate a kitchen in one cabin and are in the demo phase of another cabin renovation project.

Ashley and I are in a powerful Soul Shepherding training/retreat this week.

"If we obsess about getting clarity from God on a decision, we may be using Him as a device rather than trusting him as divine. Trusting God is a risk that throws us on His mercy."

As we wrap up the season at Tributary as winter moves in we are celebrating what the Lord has done this year. Celebrate with us :)

- Hosted 2,419 soul nights for missionaries, pastors, and other Gospel workers from 35 countries. A 25% increase over 2024.

- Coached 73 ministry units looking to grow in personal and ministry areas or looking to create a more sustainable life in ministry.

- Debriefed 63 ministry units using our one-week Exchange at the Cross debriefing program, where we guide them through reflecting on their story, identifying and acknowledging unmet expectations, loss, and grief, reflecting on Scripture and what Jesus offers at the Cross, and allowing them to invite Him into their story as they move towards healing and restoration.

Internationally, Ashley and I led or helped lead 3 group retreats in Ecuador, Montenegro, and Switzerland for 108 missionaries, serving in more than 44 countries, where we provided soul care in group or one-on-one settings.

We are blessed to serve in this way. Thank you for your prayers and support of our work.

We are having a blast hosting 20 volunteers here at Tributary cutting 2 miles of hiking trails, hanging cabinets in our newest cabin, improving decks and replacing pvc with Pex piping on all the other cabins. It’s a great group and we are so blessed to have the help 🙂
