Our Story

Inn The Country has been a dream of ours for the past 9 years. Before that it was a dream starting to form in the mind of a young girl living on her family’s dry land wheat farm in Eastern Washington State. This farm was founded in 1888 when Great Great Grandfather August came from Germany to start a new life. His wife and their robust family followed soon after. We are now in our 130th year of operation and Shelley is the 5th generation to be working the farm.

We are striving to offer the most luxurious experiences for you and working hard to make sure everything is perfect! In the meantime we are trying to bring you that luxury a little at a time. We’ve just opened a shop on Etsy (www.etsy.com/shop/InnTheCountry) where you can buy some of the handmade items that will one day be used to create comfort in our suites.

We can’t wait to share construction with you! When the Inn is built we will be welcoming guests from all over the world to be able to enjoy the relaxation and tranquility of the farm. We want to open our home to allow visitors to get a glimpse of what it’s like to be surrounded by the beauty and bounty of farm country.

We hope that our dream will become so much more to everyone who gets to spend time here at the Inn.
