The best of nature just outside your window: Ducks, Bald Eagles, Loons, Herons, Frogs and Turtles. Two gas station/party stores nearby, a Dollar General, plus Mr. Vetoes Pizza and ice cream. Downtown Harrison is just minutes away with grocery stores, a hardware store, and restaurants. (For breakfast, you can't beat The Jackpine Restaurant). Steve's Country Store has the best brats around, and Home

town Smokehouse Barbecue is absolutely delicious. Also, Saxton Park has a fishing pier and a bait store (down the road next to the hardware store). Golf at Snow Snake, rent a boat at Spicer's in Houghton Lake, hit the ORV trails in Leota with over 70 miles of groomed trails. Take day trips to Traverse City or Mackinaw.
