Counting down the days until May! ☀️💚

Today’s the winter solstice, the shortest day of the year.

Which means we’ve officially hit the emotional rock bottom of Michigan winter. The sun clocked in late, left early, and didn’t even make eye contact.

But here’s the good news: starting tomorrow, the days get longer. And yes, it’s only by a microscopic amount at first, but we will absolutely count it. That extra 30 seconds of daylight? Huge for morale. Practically tropical.

Winter’s still very much in charge, the snow isn’t going anywhere, and it’ll be dark at 4:45 for a while yet — but the comeback has begun. We’re turning the corner. Slowly. Very slowly.

Hang in there, Michigan. The sun is on its way back.
