There are many times/scenarios I (unsuccessfully) find words to sufficiently express how thankful I am for my family, our customers, and the relationships built over the past 63 years and six generations. It’s no secret Bright Leaf somewhat resists the latest and greatest technology (other than cart GPS and course equipment!) but remains relevant while offering high quality courses, clean and up-to-date rooms, delicious food, and fun. Yesterday, our phone lines and internet were out on a good check-in day. If customers weren’t paying cash, our hands were tied as we couldn’t run their cards. This is the day pencil and paper are your friend, and it doesn’t seem archaic! 🤪
About 12 months ago, they signed up for a stay-and-play package that included lodging, green fees, cart, and food. They came in the office trying to pay; it wasn’t their fault our technology provider was down, crippling us (unless someone paid cash). They were sent on their way with all the things they expected to receive for their stay and asked to stop back in when internet was restored.
Our customers are AMAZING! Like a trickling tub, every valuable customer keeps walking through the door this afternoon/evening handing over their card to be sure their time at Bright Leaf is made right.
