Wowza folks! What a Friday night! We were short staffed, had large parties, cleared a lotta fish fries, and survived what I referred to multiple times as a "s**t show" as we all grinned and beared it..... shout out to Kendra Hatleback who did her best to be everywhere at once, Heather Anne Thompson for keeping things nailed down behind the bar, Carol Dain for bouncing around like a ping pong ball, Jules Pritchard for cranking out fish fry, pizza, and everything else, Jake for kicking out the sides, pizza, and making the plates look amazing..... AND finally, Melanie Dunahee for coming in and bussing during the home stretch before Anne Marie Dain took over the asylum! These folks are rock stars people!! Absolute ROCKSTARS!

We appreciate everyone's patience tonight!

Thanks to Barbara Lashua and Bill Lashua we were able to give our merch area a little face lift.... Laura Rdh Heather Anne Thompson Jake and I spent the morning cleaning and organizing the dining room. Lots more light and a better view with the window exposed. Laura organized all the Merch. It's looking 1000 times better!

Grateful for everyone's help and support in getting Birch in order. 😘😘😘

Hello! I wanted to take a moment to thank some of our patrons last night who assisted during a medical emergency. We had some amazing nurses helping out, people that cleared the way on the patio, people holding lights, getting blankets and towels, and people that minded their own business after making sure things were handled. We appreciate the dignity and respect shown by everyone during a sensitive time for the people involved.
That being said, I want to take a minute to remind some folks that it is not appropriate to show up just to show up or because you saw something was going on. While we have cameras, we respect the privacy of others and these are not used for entertainment purposes. If there is ever a time that individuals choose to show up because they heard or saw sirens, heard about something on a scanner, or someone told you something was up, you will be asked to leave and will not be welcomed back. If you're seen photographing or recording others while they are in a vulnerable position, you will be asked to leave and not come back. It's fine to ask after the fact to check in and we love all of you who do!
Birch is a welcoming place that makes space for anyone to feel comfortable. We have many different humans that come through our doors and every single one deserves respect, not rubber necking. These kinds of actions do not align with these views or the goals of our community hub. We appreciate our patrons and wish to continue providing the best possible service to everyone.
