The walleye are on the feed, and the action is hot! A jig and a bobber is all it takes to catch em. The aquatic plants are looking better than year's past due to guests and lake association management of rusty crayfish. We are planning a craw boil with friends this weekend. Thanks to all who help manage this delicious invasive species over the years. September is a great month to key in on the eyes, and we still have openings this fall. Let us know if you are looking for a fall weekend getaway 'up North'.

It's summer in Wisconsin and the fish are active. This tiger musky was recently caught and released near the cabin. We are booked through Aug 27, but are starting to take reservations for 2022. Also, September and October are great months for fishing, and fall colors, and we currently have some weekend openings for your "up north" adventures.

The fall color season is officially behind us as the first snows of the year are here. This great photo was provided by one of our guests who enjoyed peak northwoods color at the lake. In honor of Wisconsin's Invasive Species Awareness Month, we bring you the Sconnie version of the low country boil.

Birch Lake has invasive Rusty Crayfish, which displace native Cray's, and at high populations negatively impact native fisheries and destroy the native habitat of the lake.

During your stay you can use the provided traps, collect Rusty's, and finish your stay up north with a memorable boil! Who knew invasive species management was so delicious?

Had enough of 'stay at home' but still concerned about distancing? Consider a getaway up north to fill that prescription, only nature can provide. Still need to work from home? The cabin has WiFi. Are the kids getting sassy from too much screen time? The fish are biting!
Minocqua is open, and the business owners are responding responsibly. You will have many options, some carry out only, others distance/ # in store, others outdoor only.
Now though the end of June there are times available, but we will be scheduling longer gaps between renters for cleaning purposes, so irregular weeks/or long weekends are the current offering. Message for details.
