Spring is in the air and the daffodils are blooming, birds are singing. This is my favorite season as everything is becoming new again and all the beautiful greens popping up as the trees comes alive with color. I love sitting on the deck and enjoy watching nature at it’s best.
Duke and Duchess, our two mute swans have built their nest and are careful not to let other water foul on the lake. They don’t mind the mallards, but when the Canada geese come …. Oh boy, Duke chases them off right away. Well, the other day two trumpet swans landed in the lake, and Duke was working hard to make them leave. It took a while, but he managed to get them out of the water and on dry land. Then chased them with his determined look and finally won. They flew off to find another lake. It is really a treat to watch all that happens as spring arrives.
You will love sitting on your private deck in the morning, sipping hot coffee or tea and enjoying a homemade scone while watching all natures has in store for you.

Thank you to everyone for voting for us # 1 in the Best Bite contest for Lake Township. We won 1st place Judge's award and The People's Choice award serving 300 apple dumplin's to everyone. What a great night. It was so fun sharing our dumplin's with all of you. We live in such a wonderful community.

These two lovely sisters met at quail's Covey for a long overdue weekend of visiting each other. How nice that they could catch up sharing all their memories and enjoy peace and quiet with us. Hope to see you both again! 'Charlie'
Oh, they also enjoyed shopping around Hartville. There is so much to see.
