More pictures of the newly painted Lodge, for some reason they will not load for me....I hope this time it works. Thank you for all the nice comments, we are happy with the results as well. We still need to paint the doors and windows, and Darrell plans to put rain gutters on. When you come into Hastings on Saturday for the Fire Dept Fundraiser,& The Hotel's anniversary celebration, drive on by and take a look. It's rented this weekend so you can't stop. Next event will be the Fall Craft Show on Oct.3. See you there.

Today we finally finished painting the Lodge !!!!!!!!! Is it done....NO, but it sure looks better than it did. It was a very big job, bigger than I thought it would be. Darrell & I could not have done it alone, so many people helped we appreciate all of you. First my cousin Barb & her husband Gus, who helped us get the project started, our dear friend & neighbor Tim Larson & Brent Smith these two helped Darrell with the telahandler, but to be honest they helped me more, I didn't have to operate it( although I think it might have been fun)...Speaking of the telahandler A HUGE thank You to Ken & Eva Jefferson for the use of the telahandler you were a lifesaver to us & our checkbook, we will be forever grateful.I also want to take this time to thank all of our guests this year who with out you we could have never have accomplished this. So Thank You to Northland Sires, Corey& Ann Johnson, Salberg Family, Nelson Family, Philip Crist , HUnting Party, The Scrapbook Ladies and our Jaycee Friends.

Day 7......sorry we fell asleep before I even opened the computer.....Our awesome help left us today I cannot find words to say how grateful we are for my cousin Barb and her husband Gus for spending the week with us, helping us paint the lodge. The guys finished the North side and Barb and I painted the back deck. We did come home so Darrell can hay (mow) our lawn and then well go back and see how far he can paint on the East side. Pretty soon we will have to find stilts to go to the way top, but at least the main building is respectable agan. To all who loved the "church" as much as we did....It might not look like the church anymore, but everyone will know it was a much loved church and the memories will live on inside. Thanks again Barb & Gus we will never be able to repay you, Please don't tell anyone about our trip to Menards, everyone thinks Darrell & I get along great.
