This Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. 🇺🇸

Teal Paradise is proudly veteran owned by Jim and Cindy Steed, and today feels especially meaningful as we reflect on the service, sacrifice, and commitment of those who have worn the uniform.

We especially want to recognize Chief Master Sergeant Steed for his military service and for the heart, work ethic, and dedication he pours into Teal Paradise every single day.

When guests stay at Teal Paradise, they are supporting a veteran owned small business built around family, hospitality, hard work, and community.

Today, we remember those we’ve lost and honor all who have served.

What started as replacing a few bad deck boards quickly turned into a full deck renovation that has been underway since the end of March.

And honestly, none of this would have been possible without the incredible people who stepped in, showed up, and worked tirelessly to get Teal Paradise ready for our Memorial Day guests who booked their stay all the way back in the fall.

The backyard is truly the heart of Teal Paradise. It’s what transforms the property into an outdoor sanctuary for families, conversations, late nights by the firepit, pool days, slow mornings, and unforgettable memories together. Without a safe and beautiful deck space, Teal Paradise simply would not be Teal Paradise.

A huge thank you to:

• Nathan Sexton with Sexton Renovations for jumping in this project to finish it
• Matthew Shirk and Cody Brackeen (from Sexton Renovations) for the countless hours of hard work, long days, and dedication
• Jim Steed for jumping in after working his full-time job and helping however needed
• John Zimmerman for helping bring the yard back to life after construction
• Mettey Cleaning Services for walking into a house covered in sawdust and dirt and getting everything guest-ready again
• Kalyn Ellison for always showing up, taking initiative, and helping Teal Paradise meet the standard we strive for
