As a home buyer, you should stay informed of the real estate laws, the changes being made and what it means for you. If you know the laws, it is easier to work with your agent and avoid conflicts from the start. Buyers tend to decline or hesitate to sign documents even before viewing a home. However, an open discussion and due diligence on the part of the buyer will make it easier for both parties. Stay informed.

From the National Association of Realtors:
"Beginning August 17, 2024, an MLS Participant “working with” a buyer will be required to enter into a written agreement with the buyer prior to touring a home, including both in-person and live virtual tours."
