It is with the deepest sadness I share with you that Glenda Eck died Sunday March 3rd, 2024. Glenda served as Head Cook at Ross' Teal Lake Lodge for over 20 years till it closed in 2014. She started as a waitress in her 20's under Great Grandma Virginia. Met her husband at the resort, Ken Eck, and left to start a family. Then returned and became a cornerstone of the resort.

She filled our tummies and our souls. Many of you will remember her excellent prime rib, luscious Chocolate Marvel Pie, and RUM ROLLS that were to die for. But she was so much more to us. She served as fill-in mom for the foreign staff, teaching them with patience and understanding, thru the language barriers, and always there to give a hug. She filled in as HR director, listening to all staff, and deciphering the drama, yet with an apron on (that was always covered in whatever she had been cooking!). She watched and listened from her view point out the kitchen windows and served as the heart of the resort. She took time to sit on the back kitchen porch with anyone that needed an ear to talk to. She was willing to adapt, and put on weddings and meals for 100 people, with no professional training, but a competence that would out match any. And most of all, she was a dear dear friend, to so many, but also to the Ross family. She stood by us for the births, sicknesses, foreclosures, and deaths. Not as her job, but as family.
Glenda - THANK YOU! Words cannot say how much we will miss you. You will always have place at Teal Lake and in our hearts.

We are a smaller operation now. And no longer have a golf course but the fishing is great. The sunsets incredible. And there are golf courses and restaurants only a short drive away.

Come escape to Teal Lake. Yellow Birch sits only 20 feet from the water. Still has availability this summer. Even last minute works! Due to a cancelation, it is sitting open for rest of July. So come for 3 nights or longer. Special FB offer of $220 per night!

Hello... We are excited to be back on facebook with a new updated page. We, the Ross family, are thrilled to still be offering rentals on Teal Lake. We now offer a 1 bedroom cabin - "Yellow Birch," and both of the 1 bedroom Lakeview apartments, "Blue Wing" and "Green Wing". A quiet private getaway to the peaceful shores of Teal Lake. Any length stay is available, with special packages for 3 and 7 nights. Pets are always welcomed! We also offer pontoon and boat rental to anyone staying or wanting to explore Teal Lake for the day. The lake is talking tonight. It is a magical time. As the ice on the lake freezes, it talks, it moans, it makes a sound like no other. Imagine the sound of a sound wave... Echoing through the cold night. It is nights like these, I realize how lucky we r to live on teal lake. If you have never heard a lake freeze over, add it to your bucket list. There is no other sound like it.

The loons of Teal Lake are crying a mournful chorus tonight. And for good reason. Teal lake is feeling the lose of a wonderful woman. Diane Peterson, wife to Terry Peterson- well known fishing guide, died this last weekend unexpectedly. For those who know him, or even those who do not, please send your thoughts for Terry and his family. Terry and Diane owned a resort, Musky Tail, for many years on Teal lake. We will miss her kindness and joyful voice.
