Happy 2026 fishing opener!

We are excited to kick off our 10th season as your hosts.

I apologize for the lack of posts on our projects this winter. Many of them were the unseen maintenance projects that don't make for fun pictures. (Like new electric lines to cabin 1 in the middle of a snow storm) But the cabins are all opened, deep cleaned and ready for your enjoyment!

My update announcement this week might get a mixed reaction. We know one of the best things about the Northwoods is escaping the craziness of everyday life but we also know life happens which is why I'm excited to tell you all we now have fiber internet in all the cabins! So whether it's a work meeting, a rainy day and the kids really want to stream their favorite movie or you just can't wait to share that video of your latest catch, we have you covered.

A huge thank you to Norvado who set us up with an amazing network so that you all will have seamless high speed Internet throughout the entire property.

This week I'd like to highlight the wonderful man with the thankless and often unseen job around here. (Today is also his birthday!)

While I've been busy making the cabins cozier, Chris has been busy with repairs and installs. 3 new toilets, 5 new stoves, 1 new refrigerator, plumbing updates and 3+ cabin floor repairs and the list goes on.

Happy birthday Chris! And thank you for all that you do both with the resort and the family!!!
