A Slice of Heaven on Earth ...
For those that have stayed with us in the past, we are all still heavy hearted with the passing of Grandpa Nory. Over the winter and many conversations later, Grandma Gen has decided to keep the resort going. I, Cassy (Nory and Gen’s oldest grandchild), will be helping to keep the legacy going. Joe, myself, Mark (my other half), Dave, Rochelle, and the rest of us will be doing our parts to make sure this little slice of heaven is available for generations to come to enjoy!
I’ll have to check dates and such with grandma, but Musky Joe’s Twin Pines Resort came to be back in the early 50’s. Nory and Gen did 99% of ALL the work themselves, from clearing the land to building the cabins, and running the resort (all while raising a family.) As far as I am concerned, they are real life heros! Over the years they built up their business and established life long friendships with most of their customers. Some feel more like family than customers, to be honest.
Moving forward, we will be maintaining the same cozy image that has been the theme all these years. Each cottage has been tastefully decorated and loving kept up. In the future we will be adding a few modern touches here and there (WiFi up at the lodge, etc.), but would like to preserve Grandma and Grandpa’s dream as much as possible.
Each cottage is equipped with a full bathroom (shower stalls), a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and bedrooms with double beds. All the coziness of home without the distractions of “real” life. We have dock space available for our guests, a boat landing on-site, a boat comes with your rental (motors at an extra fee), and top-notch fishing right off of our docks!!!
