We have spent months thinking and praying about how to share this news. This morning, the words finally came. With full hearts, Mike and I (Meeka) want to officially announce that Selah’s Acres is now closed and no longer hosting guests.
For more than three years, the Lord allowed us to serve families in our community, and it has been one of our greatest joys. We are better, stronger, and richer in wisdom because of the incredible people we met along the way. Thank you for sharpening us. Thank you for choosing Selah’s Acres as your place of quiet pause. Thank you for trusting us.
As our family steps boldly into a beautiful new season, we ask for your prayers and celebrate all that God is doing in our lives.
Uno is preparing to graduate with a degree in Civil Engineering—still joyfully talking about trees and dirt every chance he gets. Selah’s Acres was his proving ground, a place to test his calling and share his passion with our guests. His enthusiasm propels us forward with hope and confidence.
Deuce graduates from high school this summer, and both boys will step into new levels of adulthood just seven days apart. If you’ve ever visited the Acres, you know how vital they were to this journey, working with dedication far beyond their years. Now they step into adulthood with that same work ethic. Deuce is following the Lord to pursue his studies out of state. While my mama-heart aches, I trust God’s faithfulness in this new beginning.
Lovely, now in 8th grade, remains our quiet pause—though not so quiet anymore. She is a gifted baker, a joyful helper, and a true scholar. As she rises into the role of oldest at home, she does so with grace, strength, and a leadership spirit that makes us incredibly proud.
Cuatro, our middle schooler, keeps our home full of life. The Acres shaped him into a thoughtful leader, a caring steward, and a faithful friend. Watching him grow has been one of the sweetest gifts God gave us through this season.
We cannot speak of Selah’s Acres without honoring Mrs. Kathy—a weekly source of creativity, joy, art, and crafts. She is a treasure to our family. Many of you created beautiful works under her guidance, and those memories stay with us always.
As we close our gates, we do so with joy and thanksgiving. No regrets. Only gratitude. We would do it all again.
Grateful and growing,
The Fellows Family
