Respectfully, no. 😌

Because every time I visit, I see something that could be a little better, a little cozier, a little more memorable for the families who stay here.

I genuinely love creating a place where people can unplug, make memories, and enjoy a little piece of the Northwoods the way my family does.

So yes, there will probably be another flight. And definitely another project.

When people think about a cabin, they usually picture the lake, the sunsets, the campfires, and the memories.

What they don’t always see are the dozens of projects happening behind the scenes to keep the lodge comfortable, welcoming, and well cared for.

This year brought a little bit of everything: refreshed bedrooms and bathrooms, a makeover for the LOONdry Room, new storage solutions, a refreshed loft suite, shoreline and landscaping improvements, a new kayak and paddle boat, a freshly painted White Arrow sign, and countless smaller projects that help keep Silver Lake Lodge feeling like home.

Owning and caring for a 24-year-old lodge is equal parts rewarding, challenging, and occasionally chaotic—but it’s a labor of love.

Thank you to every guest who has supported us along the way. Your stays make these improvements possible, and we’re excited to continue investing in this special place for years to come.

The LOONdry Room. 🦆 Still my favorite thing we’ve done at the lodge.

Because I firmly believe the soul of a house lives in the laundry room. (A completely normal opinion.)

Add a little Northwoods charm, a lot of unnecessary decorating enthusiasm, and a Menards remix that’s going to be living rent-free in my brain for weeks, and here we are.

Midwest luxury: saving big money and washing lake towels in a themed laundry room. 🦆✨

One of the best parts of hosting at Silver Lake Lodge is seeing the property through our guests’ eyes. ❤️

Rosie and Greg recently sent over these photos along with the sweetest note:

“We had such a beautiful time. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us. I have not felt this relaxed in quite awhile!”

What made it even more special? They included a photo of our brand-new solar lights that were installed the very morning they arrived. I had been wondering how they looked after dark, and seeing them through their lens absolutely made my heart happy.

We can’t wait to welcome our summer guests, but if you’re dreaming of crisp air, colorful leaves, and a slower pace at the lake, now is the perfect time to plan ahead.

The Loft Suite got a cozy refresh—moody walls, new sconces with charging ports and a spot for your phone, a new rug underfoot, and the perfect chaise for lazy lake days (or rainy-day lounging).

Same Northwoods charm. Just a little more comfortable.

Summer is sold out, but fall is just around the corner—and it’s one of our favorite times of year at Silver Lake Lodge. 🍂 The colors are brighter, the pace is slower, and the lake is every bit as beautiful.
