Calling all (wannabe) lumberjacks! 🪓

What is a better time to put the lumberjack attire on and pretend to be one than on Halloween 🎃? Seriously, though - we’ve got a lot of work around camp in need of a good chainsaw, and several chainsaws in action would be even better.

Contact Chap at 601-416-8580, or at [email protected], to let him know if you’re interested in coming out for 2-3 hours this Saturday. We’ll feed you lunch for your trouble, and if you’ve got a fireplace at home, we’ll be happy to give you a little firewood to boot! 🔥

“My mom went to CWP when she was little, and then my older sisters also went. I have gone to camp since second grade and now I’m in sixth grade, so four years.

The most important thing I’ve learned at camp is that God is always with us.

I started off at the three-day camp and then went to the whole-week camp. This past year, I went to the Older Elementary Outpost camp, where I got to sleep in a hammock out in the woods! Camp has made me a more independent person. This summer when we were at Outpost, we were all trying to swing each other while we were in our hammocks. I swung too hard and fell out.

Camp is special because it’s one week we can go and sleep in cabins and do all kinds of fun activities, but we also get to learn more about God while we are there! It’s also special because I get to make new friends and memories every time I go.”

Of course it’s fun to climb, run or paddle your canoe along all afternoon… but sometimes it’s sing-songy walks on the trails, or simply sitting down to enjoy a game of checkers - the stuff that happens in-between the big stuff - that we remember the most. ♟️
