Triple Lakes Trail
Denaliโs most rewarding day hikes long enough to feel like an adventure, but accessible for most hikers with steady pacing.
Distance: 9.5 miles oneโway (you can do a shorter outโandโback)
Elevation: ~1,000 ft of gain
Difficulty: Moderate mostly gentle terrain with a few steeper sections
Time: 4โ6 hours depending on pace
Trail Style: Wellโdefined, forested, with open views and lakeside sections
What makes this hike so beautiful is the variety. You move through quiet spruce forest, cross a suspension bridge over the Nenana River, and then reach three alpineโstyle lakes tucked into the hills.
The views open and close as you go, giving you that perfect mix of peaceful woods and big Denali landscapes.
