Some reviews make me smile. This one brought tears to my eyes.

Behind every beautifully made bed, every polished floor, every answered message, and every little detail is a prayer that each guest feels seen, cared for, and at peace while they’re here.

Casey and I dreamed of creating something special in this old building, but ultimately, it’s God who has opened the doors and blessed the work of our hands.

Hearing these words from two architects, who appreciate thoughtful design and quality craftsmanship, feels especially meaningful. It’s a reminder that excellence matters and that people notice when something is created with care.

I don’t do this for the reviews, but I’ll admit they’re a tremendous encouragement. On the hard days, they’re a reminder that the work has purpose.

Thank you to every guest who has stayed at The Lofts 3rd + Main and taken the time to share your experience. Your words are one of God’s sweetest gifts of encouragement to me. They keep me looking forward to welcoming the next guest.

One of the last public speeches John F. Kennedy ever gave was right here in Arkansas, and most people have no idea. 🇺🇸

On October 3, 1963, President Kennedy came to Heber Springs to dedicate the newly completed Greers Ferry Dam on the Little Red River. He spoke to a crowd of thousands, praised the project, and celebrated what it would mean for the region. Just 49 days later, he was assassinated in Dallas.

That Arkansas hillside crowd was among the last to see him speak in public before he was gone. Greers Ferry Lake exists today in part because of that dedication, and it is one of the most beautiful lakes in the state. So tell me: did you know JFK's last major public address was in Arkansas? Many ask what was the biggest surprise when renovating our 125 year old building. It was the $prinkler $ystem! We had to close a lane of Main St so that we could connect to the 100 year old 6” water main. It made up about 1/8 or our renovation budget.
