Many ask what was the biggest surprise when renovating our 125 year old building. It was the $prinkler $ystem! We had to close a lane of Main St so that we could connect to the 100 year old 6” water main. It made up about 1/8 or our renovation budget.

Part two of the renovation…not for the faint of heart.

I’m pretty sure Mike Rowe would agree, this qualified as a dirty job. Honestly, the dirtiest and hottest part of the process. The heat and humidity on those dog days of summer were relentless. Some days required a jump in the lake before even thinking about a shower.
