The Tennessee Waterfalls & Swim Holes Road Trip takes you to 8 awesome summer spots where you can cool off in some of the best natural swimming holes in the state. This route is packed with places where waterfalls drop into clear pools you can actually get in. At Cummins Falls State Park, you can wade and swim in the deep pool below the falls and walk right up through the creek to reach it. Fancher Falls brings a fun walk across a suspension bridge before you reach the pool at the base of the falls. Rutledge Falls is easier to get to, with a wide, gentle drop and a calm swimming area below. Then there’s Ozone Falls, where the water drops into a big bowl-shaped gorge with tall rock walls all around you. Every stop gives you a different kind of swim, making this one of the best warm-weather road trips you can take in Tennessee.
