We are beyond grateful to you—our loyal fans and supporters from near and afar—for your words of encouragement as we move forward with re-opening the Stonecat Café this year without our founder, dear friend and fearless champion, Scott Signori. It has definitely been an emotional ride, but we are proud and excited to introduce you to the updated Stonecat—reflecting Scott’s vision for the next chapter of the Stonecat and reinforcing his strong belief that food is life. We have made some changes in how we operate, but don’t fret—we will still be offering our cult classics and now, you will have to option to customize your meal. We re-open this Friday, April 29, and will be open Fridays through Sundays from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Scott was a wonderful addition to the Hector Community.

With heavy sadness, we share the news that our friend, chef, and owner of the Stonecat, Scott Signori, passed away December 26th. Scott passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family and friends, after battling cancer for more than a year.

Scott’s legacy lives on in the thousands of lives that he touched. He was a sincere friend who always wanted to learn, teach, and explore together. He was a mentor to so many, provided refuge for outcasts, and created a community pillar in the Stonecat. He was a culinary genius who pioneered the farm to table movement in our area, cultivating deep relationships with the local farmers. Scott’s Italian heritage was evident and customers never left the Stonecat hungry. As a friend, his approach was the same, always leaving you engaged, curious, and fulfilled.

Our community mourns Scott’s passing and will hold a celebration of life at a later time.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO: Please note that although there are wine tour bus companies booking large groups, despite communications being sent about group limitations, most of our wineries are not accepting groups larger than 4 or 6 at this time, and some require an advanced reservation for tastings. Failing to adhere to these limitations, or reserving with others who don't, will risk you and your group being turned away and we would absolutely hate that.
