Any short term rental owners / managers accepting well mannered cats? I have a guest with 2 cats, they bring all of their supplies (I’m assuming litter box, etc.) and cats walk on leashes. They’re requesting booking next month - let me know what you have so I can forward info. Thanks!

The 37th Annual Helen Trout Tournament is fixin’ to kick off right here in Helen, Georgia on Saturday, March 28, 2026!

Grab your rod and reel and head on down to the beautiful Chattahoochee River, where the trout’ll be bitin’ and the competition’ll be friendly … but fierce! Anglers will be reelin’ in specially tagged trout worth cash prizes — with some lucky folks snaggin’ rewards up to $1,000!

They’re stockin’ over 400 pounds of trophy trout, plus extra fish courtesy of the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, so you know it’s gonna be a fine day on the water. Lines drop at 6:00 AM, and weigh-in and awards will be held at the Helen Festhalle (1074 Edelweiss Strasse) from 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Experience a Bavarian-style Hüttengaudi right here in Helen! This lively weekend tradition features a pub crawl and scavenger hunt, ending with a festive party at the Hofbrauhaus.

Pick up your punch card at the Welcome Center or any participating business and start anytime Friday or Saturday. Visit as many locations as you can, get your card punched (no purchase required—some stops offer discounts), and solve the scavenger hunt clues found on the back of the card.

Turn in your completed card at the Hofbrauhaus by 6:00 PM on Saturday. The guest who visits the most locations and answers the most clues wins! Ties will be entered into a drawing for a 2-liter oak barrel, announced during the Hofbrauhaus party. Must be present to win.

Bungalows has a cancellation, due to illness, check us out, we’re downtown behind Betty’s store at the Chattahoochee River. Open dates Monday, Oct 30th - November 2nd, I’ve reduced the rate in hopes of returning some money to my previous guest. #
