It's official — I'm running for Helena-West Helena City Council, Ward 1, Position 1.

My family and I chose Helena. We own and operate the Edwardian Inn, we work here, and we bet on this town every single day. This November, Ward 1 has a real choice to make about who does that work — and I want to earn it, door by door, on my record.

You may know me from the water fight. I read the rate study, ran the numbers, wrote the alternative ordinances, and stood up at the council to ask for three things: transparency before the vote, accountability for how the money gets spent, and an honest look at what residents can afford. When the billing came in a month early, I'm the one who caught it. That's the job as I see it — read the fine print, track the dollars, show up.

Ward 1 runs from our historic downtown core out into West Helena, and the things that keep people up at night here are not abstractions: water bills, the trash backlog, blight. Whoever sits in the mayor's office next year, they'll need council members who've already read the ordinance before the meeting starts — and who you can actually find the other 29 days of the month. That's the council member I'll be.
