Our History
Experience Helena, Montana lodging at the locally owned and unique Barrister Bed and Breakfast. This circa 1874 Inn will take you back through the years of this fascinating Gold Rush City like no other place.
The Barrister is located next to the magnificent St. Helena Cathedral in a beautiful old neighborhood that also boasts The Original Governor’s Mansion and Myrna Loy Performing Arts Center. A few blocks away is Last Chance Gulch with an array of excellent dining, art galleries, antique shops and boutiques. We are also within walking distance of the Montana State Capitol and Historical Society Museum.
Relax and enjoy our spacious parlor with a baby grand piano and guitar to play. Choose to have an elegant breakfast in the ornate formal dining room or the charming sunroom. The den provides a cozy and quiet place to watch movies or listen to music. Our library offers Montana magazines and books and is the perfect private place for business travelers to work.
We pride ourselves on providing our guests a chance to visit and swap stories every evening and are always happy to share our knowledge of great hikes and excursions in Yellowstone and Glacier National Park along with our local adventures and current events.
