Montanans For Justice

Montanans For Justice Montanans For Justice is a grassroots organization dedicated to freeing Barry Beach, a man wrongfully convicted of a 1979 murder.

Barry is currently serving a 100 year sentence without the possibility of parole for a crime he did not commit. In 2011, a District Court Judge released Barry from prison pending a new trial based upon new evidence. Barry remained a productive an law abiding citizen of Billings, Montana for 18 months before the Montana Supreme Court issued a narrowly split (4-3) decision reversing the District Cou

rt's ruling and sending Barry back to prison. Montanans For Justice continues to fight for justice in this case and Barry's eventual freedom.

That’s because Montana is one of 10 states in which an appointed board acts as a “gateway” for pardon and clemency applications that do not involve capital offenses.
