🎉 Get Ready for First Friday – May 1st! 🎉

We're back downtown Hemphill for another First Friday, and honestly, we can't wait to see everyone again. There's nothing quite like a Friday night on the square with good people, good music, and good vibes.

We're especially pumped to have our local vendors back on the courthouse lawn for the second time. Watching the community come together and support each other's small businesses and creative work is what this is all about.

Here's what's happening:
🎶 Live saxophone from Darwin Young at Pineywoods Vineyard (4-8 PM)
🎤 Gospel music at The Feed Store Cafe (6-8 PM)
🍔 Smash and Pass Burgers Food Truck (11 AM - 8 PM)
🛍️ Local vendors with homemade goods on the square
💨 Ci**rs on the balcony with Canvas & Cedar (3-6 PM)
👟 Helping Hands Pop-up Sales (5-7 PM)
✨ Live music, handmade gifts, and so much more
🤠 Line dancing & Two-step upstairs in the Pineywoods Vineyard Ballroom (7:30 - 10pm)

Vendor Info:
If you need power, bring your own batteries or generator. Rain in the forecast? Grab a canopy or cover to stay comfortable. And as always, let's leave the space as we found it so we can keep doing this together.

Tater Reynolds of Florien, LA caught this 11.06-pound bass on 1/7/2026 and weighed it in at Buckeye Landing Marina on Toledo Bend Lake. Tater Reynolds will receive a fiberglass replica from the Toledo Bend Lake Association for allowing us to weigh, measure, tag and return this fish to the Lake alive. Congratulations on your catch! This is Lunker number 18 for the June 2025 - 2026 year.
