Many people ask where they can trout fish in the summer. The nearest pond is in Brevard called Morgan Mill Trout Farm. Go to his website by the same name.

Fishing update: I am out of trout till September 19th. Just too hot.

You can fish the catfish pond for $20 per 2 hours per carload. However, there is an overpopulation of brim with few bass to eat them. I suggest bringing chicken livers, dough balls, or gizzards to avoid feeding all your night-crawlers to the brim.

I get several calls about trout. I am currently out due to hot water temperatures and lack of volume. I would recommend Morgan Mill Trout Farm in Brevard. They raise trout and have plenty of cold water. My next batch of trout should be ready September 19th. Have a great summer!!!

Hot weather is here and the trout pond is finished for the summer. My next batch will be ready on September 19th.

The catch & release pond has several small catfish and brim with only a few small bass. It’s $20 for 2 hours and you throw everything back.

I sell night crawlers for $4 per dozen and rent
a rod/reel for $5 per day.

Hot weather is here! A few trout remain in the pond. Only 3 caught this weekend. Next batch arrives mid September. The catfish are about 1 to 2 pounds in size and biting well. So are the brim. They are in the catch/release pond so can’t keep those. $20 per family for 2 hours. Come see us!

The ponds are getting more clear. About a dozen trout caught over the weekend. June will be warming up and trout will stop biting once the water temp reaches 70 degrees. My next batch of trout is scheduled for mid September when it cools down.

The recent heavy rains have muddied the ponds and the fish won’t bite. We will be closed this weekend.

With my remaining stock being low, the best bait is yellow or orange “power bait” sold in local outdoor supply stores. If trout don’t work out, you can try our new catch/release pond with catfish and bass. $20 for 2 hours and you must throw them back.

The extreme draught is continuing so my water supply is more than 50% down. The pond water is heating up and the air temp will be near 90 for the next week. I have elected not to risk another batch of trout until mid September. There should be about 150 lbs left so I would suggest coming before noon to have a better chance of catching them.
