Laurel Creek Cottage is perched above Laurel Creek nestled on nine wooded acres and is being offered for the first time. This 1,050 square foot cottage is surrounded by native laurels and rhododendron and is tucked in a mountain cover that was the love and pride of my Grandfather. The cottage is an extension of everything my grandfather was passionate about....undisturbed nature, privacy, and simp
licity. foot living space is flanked by a set of french doors leading to the 350 square foot deck perfect for relaxing and dining while overlooking Laurel Creek and the forest. This spacious two bedroom, one and half bath cottage is designed to bring nature indoors and is decorated with a blend of old and new. The master bedroom features a handmade queen twig bed positioned with a panoramic view and cozy reading nook. The guest bedroom has two twin beds and there is additional sleeping accommodations on the pull out sofa in the living room. A fully appointed eat in kitchen completes the cottage. Located in the heart of Hendersonville this secluded cottage is bordered on one side by fifteen acres of wooded estate and twenty on the other. You are truly tucked away with nine acres to roam at your leisure. During the spring and fall deer like to call Laurel Creek their home along with turkey, and an occasional fox. The cove also provides endless hours of bird watching with a large variety of birds including my Grandfathers personal favorite the large pileated woodpecker. You are three miles to the heart of downtown Historic Hendersonville, and at the backdoor of Dupont Forest with Asheville, Brevard and Saluda only a few miles away. Hendersonville is a charming small town located in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina and home to The Flat Rock Playhouse and Poet Carl Sandburg's home place where he pinned Abraham Lincoln's the Prairie Years. This beautiful area of the country provides for plenty of exploring, shopping and dining experiences. The Biltmore House, zip line adventures, kayaking, canoeing, tubing and hiking are minutes away. Just down the road between Hendersonville and Brevard is the Dupont Forest with more than 10,000 acres of forest, trails and waterfalls. Brevard known as the 'Land of Waterfalls' is a quaint small town with tremendous cultural and natural opportunities including the 500,000 acre Pisgah National Forest.
